BARN MANAGER & LESSON INSTRUCTOR

Brooke Stromsdorfer

Since the age of 5, Brooke has been obsessed with horses.  She grew up riding in the local St. Louis community, hopping on horses whenever she got the opportunity.  Brooke was a working student under the training of Jodi Gold for over 15 years and has seen much success as a groom and local competitor, showing in both the hunters and jumpers on various catch rides and several borrowed horses. As an adult, Brooke works as an English teacher but can’t stay away from the horses for long–grooming, coaching, and trail riding whenever possible.  As a coach, she emphasizes correct equitation and comprehensive horsemanship so that her riding students share an empathetic connection with their horses.  Brooke is also a firm believer in continuing education with horses and is forever seeking to develop professionally and gain new insights from a variety of equine experiences.  She boards her two horses–Concorde, a goofy retired junior hunter, and Chilly, the most adorable small division pony.

PROFESSIONAL RIDER

Rebecca Clayton

Rebecca’s riding career extends back to her childhood years, taking lessons in Hunters and Equitation.  As a longtime working student for Jodi, she has shown on the National circuit, earning many ribbons on her catch rides.  Rebecca has a fierce competitive spirit and enjoys showing horses at both schooling and rated events.  Ever the perfectionist, she strives to make each ride successful and productive.  When speaking about riding, she is always connecting the importance of a correct riding position to the effective performance of the horse.  When she's away from her full-time job working in video production, Rebecca can be found at the barn, tacking up and riding as many horses as she can.
